These lanterns are created by blowing a ball of molten glass into a decorative cast metal cage. The semi-molten glass protrudes slightly through each aperture to create an attractive "quilted" appearance.

Substantial and elegant, a net of metal threadwork encloses the blown glass tulip. The lantern has a delicate appearance, although in fact it weighs almost 3 kilograms
