A molten bead of glass is blown into a stencilled brass casing to create these lanterns. The pressure causes the glass, which is is still in a semi fluid state, to protrude slightly through the cutouts in the casing to create an interesting and attractive profile.

THE GOLDEN HORN LANTERN

Decorated with a pattern of stars and crescents, this is the quintessential Turkish lantern.

Many colours of glass available, each creates a different ambience, but the richness of ruby red or lucious orange works for me...

THE TURKISH TURBAN

Looking a little like a pinecone, this lantern makes a delicious effect when lit. The shape recalls the magnificent turbans of a bygone era of Constaninople's history.
