Wall Sconces in Aged Brass |
All of the creations on this page come from the studio of Marrakech's master of modern design. They are collector pieces which will no doubt, over time, become heirlooms. The craftsmanship in the carving of these pieces is magnificent.
The sconces can be used alone as a decorative wall accent, or combined with a simple electrical fitting to make a high impact lighting feature.

DEMI BOULE SCONCES
Two designs available:
The CARVED DEMI BOULE SCONCE is shown on the right. This is an example of the most exquisite craftsmanship. The beautiful overcarving of the body of the sconce can be enjoyed when unlit - but when the sconce is illuminated - wow! The overall effect is fabulous beyond description!
The SMOOTH DEMIBOULE SCONCE made of the same heavy aged brass as the carved version, but the bowl of this sconce has been left unpierced in its original, softly hammered and gleaming state.

Beautiful and unusual, these impressive sconces complement a rich, antique brass, hammered finish with an intricately carved centre.

DELUXE PHOTOPHORE
This is an exquisite little candleholder. A perfectly carved sphere fits snugly into a heavy disc-shaped base, both parts are fashioned from aged brass
The sphere has such a delicate appearence, but in fact the metal is substantial and the creation is much more robust than one might suspect.

BERBER PHOTOPHORE
Another beautiful candleholder: in this instance in the shape of an open cube, each side of which has been intricately drilled and carved and finally incised with a typically geometric Berber pattern.
The material is heavy brass which has been "aged" to a softly burnished patina.
