ENAMELLED BERBER EARRINGS

These magnificent earrings are a wonderful fusion of ancient techniques and materials with a "baroque" styling.

Antique crackled coral embedded in coin silver decorates the header as well as the side and centre drops of the pendants. The earrings are perfectly matched with green, cobalt and gold enameling.

ANTIQUE "BOAT" EARRINGS

This very old pair of earrings were made in the Atlas around 100 years ago.
.
There is a left and right earring, designed so that the deep ruby cabochons of old glass on each side face outwards and to the front.

The flat surfaces and diamond shaped pendants are decorated with niello work, an antique metalworking technique.

One of the three pendants on the left hand earring is missing, probably making these a collector's piece, or destined for a lover of unique jewelry.

OLD BERBER EARRINGS

A nice pair of old earrings from Tiznit in a characteristic combination of Berber enamel and old glass cabochons.

The facets cut into the green "gem" in the lower pendant sparkle as they catch the light.

SILVER AND GEMSTONE EARRINGS

Just a touch of blue and green Berber enamel on these modern silver and garnet earrings The main part of the earring looks to me like a little surprised "face".

Good silver forms a backing for two clusters of old coral spheroids separated by a twisted thread of silver.
