An old Croix du Sud from the 1940's of coin silver which has become granulated over time.

This splendid Mauritanian cross is formed on a base of ebony wood covered with a mantle of finely chiselled and studded silver.

The centre of the cross is marked with a silver studded red glass bead.

Copper loops at the top of the cross provide attachment for the handrolled necklace of goat leather.
