ANCIENT CORAL and OLD COIN Necklace

The coral in this necklace is very old and originates from the Red Sea The beads are roughly spherical and beautifully uneven - the natural rugose form of the coral is often visible.
Each end of the necklace terminates in a silver chain and clasp similar to the amber and amazonite necklace below.

The five coins are from the era of French Protectorate. The largest is worn almost completely smooth with use, but others can be dated to the 1950's.

ANTIQUE AMBER and AMAZONITE

This is an assortment of very old beads, gathered into a lovely necklace.

The colour combination of the old butter and honey amber chunks with the soft blue-green of the Amazonite is enhanced by the inclusion of old, faceted and inscribed silver beads. A large, ancient filigree silver sphere provides a centre feature.

Clearly a collectors' piece.

This pretty necklace features a string of dark honey amber coloured agate beads interrupted by three muted silver spheres.

The appeal of this necklace lies in the simplicity of design combined with the slight irregularity of the handworked beads.

TOUAREG "CHATCHAT" NECKLACE

A typical example of Touareg design, the silver and black glass bead necklace incorporates seven little motifs of engraved silver.

In this instance, they are in the shape of axe heads, other motifs that can be found include "tanfouks", hearts and eternity spirals.

TOUAREG SILVER "BLADE" NECKLACE

A light and dainty piece of Touareg work. Tiny black glass beads with silver tubes make up the length of the necklace which features a series of graduated silver "blades".
