GREEN AGATE TOUAREG PENDANT

This is an attractive design that's quite often encountered, but usually the silver work is combined with different shades of brown agate or with black resin. Green, however is more unusual.

Tuareg geometrics decorate the silver cap and centre ring, which sets off the smoky translucency of the green agate. The pendant is fixed to a necklace of graduated black glass beads with silver inserts.

Artisan's signature is on the back of the pendant.

CIRCULAR HINGED TOUAREG PENDANT

Distinctly vintage, and rather beautiful, this smaller pendant is strung from a loop of smooth, black leather which closes with a silver clasp.

The pendant is composed of an incised cap, which is hinged to an agate disc by a decorated semicircle of silver. A shining dome of silver enhances the centre of the agate.

Artisan's signature is on the reverse.

Here, the hinged cap leads down to a silver capped tablet of black agate, which is accentuated with a dome of silver.

Incised silver is combined here with an attractive dark grained wood which is probably not ebony, but is usually, and romantically, marketed as such.

A raised oval of incised silver lends additional interest to the centre of the pendant, the entire surface of which is covered with nicely executed incision work. Incorporated into the traditional geometric designs is a rather unusual, five petalled lily.
