SILVER and BRASS SERVING TRAYS

A small selection of our many antique trays appears on this page. Almost all are around 60 to 70 years old and have come from homes in the Middle and High Atlas where they would have been a prized possession.

Some of the trays show signs of wear, a witness to the decades over which they have earned their place at innumerable family celebrations, and to the lavish care with which they have been maintained.

OVAL SILVER TRAYS

Weighing in at around 15 lbs, these trays were originally designed to carry a whole roast sheep for important feast days.

The trays have short metal legs which can be screwed into the base to raise the food to a convenient height. Click on the photo for an overall view.

This gorgeous 10-sided tray has spiral of curving and interlaced geometrics radiating from the centre point.

The border is a repeating motif of scrolls and leaves.
