SILVER METAL SERVING TRAYS

A small selection of our many antique trays appear on this page. Almost all are around 50-60 years of age and have come from homes in the Middle Atlas and High Atlas. They would, in their time have been the pride of the household.

Some of the trays show signs of wear, a witness to the decades over which they have earned their place at innumerable family celebrations, and to the lavish care with which they have been maintained.

OVAL SILVER TRAYS

Weighing in at around 15 lbs, these trays were originally designed to carry a whole roast sheep for important feast days.

The trays have short metal legs which can be screwed into the base to raise the food to a convenient height. Click on the photo for a wider view.

WOODEN TABLE BASES

We have a number of beautiful round silver serving trays in a variety of lovely patterns - both geometric and floral, each one surrounded by a glorious border. All are fine examples high quality workmanship which is becoming increasingly difficult to find. Two trays are shown below, photos of other trays are available on request.

The round serving tray can be transformed into an attractive table with a wooden stand as shown on the left.

GARLAND BORDERED TRAY

Displayed against a backdrop of "Wedding Blankets", this gorgeous 10-sided tray has riot of swirling floral motifs and a lovely complex winding ribbon border.
