OLD SILVER PERFUME SHAKER
These old silver perfume shakers have a hollow, elongated neck which screws into the attractively decorated, spherical base.
They were traditionally filled with orange flower fragrance, so that honoured guests could be greeted with a light sprinkle of scent.
Nowadays they make a pretty addition to a spa bathroom.

A rare find...non-identical, old copper kettle twins, from Marrakech in the 1960's. This must explain the wild appliques in brass and nickel silver!

Old Fashioned Door Hardware
You see these door
knockers on many of the old
houses in the medina. I photographed this door near the Place de Ferblantiers in Marrakech on my last trip.
Shown on the left is the Khamsa
style.
